Earring details

Diamonds
A matched pair of oval brilliant lab-grown diamonds, with F colour or higher, VS1 clarity or higher. Each is selected to appear colourless and eye-clean, with independent IGI or GIA documentation.

Carat weight
Choose 1ct, 1.5ct, 2ct, 3ct or 4ct total for the pair, corresponding to 0.50ct, 0.75ct, 1ct, 1.5ct or 2ct per stud. Carat describes weight; precise dimensions vary between individual diamonds.

Setting & fittings
Four tapered claw settings in 14k solid recycled yellow or white gold, or platinum, with Alpha safety back fittings. 18k gold is available on request.

Made to order and hallmarked in the UK.

Choosing your diamonds

Oval diamonds bring an elongated silhouette to a classic stud. We assess brilliance, symmetry and the appearance of any central bow tie, then match the pair by eye.

Alpha safety backs

Alpha fittings use a locking mechanism with two release tabs. Press the tabs together to fit or remove the back, then release them to secure it on the post. Check that each back is secure before wearing your earrings.

Delivery, returns & duties

Your earrings are made to order, with estimated dispatch 25 November–9 December. Delivery is complimentary and fully insured; a signature is required.

Please contact our client care team before arranging a return. Earring return eligibility is subject to our hygiene requirements and Refund Policy. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

Every Katy Halliday creation is covered for life against manufacturing defects in materials or making.

If a covered manufacturing fault is identified following assessment, we will repair the piece without charge or, where repair is not appropriate, replace it at our discretion. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

Care & servicing

We’re here to help you care for your jewellery for years to come, with complimentary professional cleaning and inspection arranged through our client care team.

We recommend periodic inspection to keep your piece in beautiful condition. Where appropriate, we can also arrange polishing or rhodium plating, with any additional charge agreed with you before work begins.

Oval brilliant diamonds are selected for brightness, fire, balanced elongated proportions and symmetry. We assess each diamond by eye and match the pair for face-up size and appearance.

D–F sits within the colourless range. We select F colour or higher, then assess each diamond by eye to ensure it appears beautifully colourless.

Clarity

Clarity is graded under 10× magnification. Each diamond is thoughtfully selected for its beauty, with clarity grades typically within the VVS range and always VS1 or above. Every diamond is individually assessed to ensure no inclusions are visible to the unaided eye.

Carat

Carat measures weight, not visual size. Our stud options state the total weight of the pair: 1ct means 0.50ct per earring, 1.5ct means 0.75ct each, 2ct means 1ct each, 3ct means 1.5ct each, and 4ct means 2ct each. Face-up dimensions vary with proportion.
